Our love story began in the vibrant heart of New York City, where fate brought us together at the American Bar. Jeremy was visiting from London for a long weekend, and what started as a chance encounter turned into hours of conversation until closing time. The connection was so special that we decided to meet again the next evening, this time choosing to explore our chemistry without alcohol. We shared laughs at a comedy club and showcased our personalities (and vocal abilities!) at a karaoke bar. When Jeremy returned to London, distance couldn’t diminish our growing connection. We spent the next month getting to know each other through daily FaceTime calls, falling deeply in love despite being separated by an ocean. Technology may have bridged the physical gap, but our hearts were growing closer with each passing day. The proposal was an absolute dream come true. In July 2024, during a trip to Lagos, Nigeria, Jeremy orchestrated the most magical surprise. He worked with his aunt to transform her restaurant into an enchanted Lagos dining experience. The setting was intimate and romantic, perfectly capturing both our love story and Jeremy’s Nigerian heritage. It was there, surrounded by the warmth and charm of Lagos, that Jeremy asked me to spend forever with him.
